Teaching

As a research group affiliated with a research insitute and a university, we are both researchers and educators and we believe in learning through research experiences. We are supportive of interactive learning and have designed a series of lectures, reading and interactive learning material primarily targeting fundamentals of biophysics, structural biology and image processing. Most of our educational material is freely available as Open Educational Resource under a CC-BY licence, permitting its re-use and re-purposing by others.

A limited set of material on these pages may still be accessible only from within the TU Delft network or for course participants. Sorry.

Course material for TUD Nanobiology students

We currently teach the following courses in the Nanobiology program:

Course material for Nanobiology students can be found on Brightspace.

Fundamentals of Cryo-EM Image Processing

This is a virtual learning environment introducing fundamental aspects of image processing required for cryo-EM data analysis.

The material consists of a collection of Jupyter notebooks hosted in an interactive computing environment. While basic knowledge of Python will help, no active knowledge of coding is required to work through the material.

This material has been designed with the help of Maarten Joosten, Alok Bharadwaj, Stefan Huber and Lennart Pagani.

Student projects

If you are a B.Sc. or M.Sc. student and interested in structural biology and high-resolution imaging, we are happy to work with you.
